Diva Maryse Bio and Pics 2011

Maryse started out as a beauty pageant contestant and won the Miss Hawaiian Tropic Canada in 2003 and finished second in the international finals. She then appeared on magazines and some television in Canada and ended up becoming a glamour model. In the summertime of 2006 Maryse entered the WWE diva contest. She was eliminated early, coming in 7th place but was still invited by the WWE to their training facility. In August of 2006 she was given a WWE development contract and was active in Ohio Valley Wrestling. At the beginning of 2007 WWE fans would start seeing Maryse welcoming viewers back to the show after commercial breaks both in English and French. Starting in February of 2008 we started seeing a bit more of Maryse as she made a backstage appearance with Teddy Long. Then in March of 2008 she competed in a SMACKDOWN diva contest against Michelle McCool, Cherry, Eve Torres and Victoria. Unfortunately, she was the first one eliminated. On the March 28, 2008 Smackdown we got to see Maryse team up with Victoria in a "Wet and Wild" match against Michelle McCool and Cherry, her team lost. Maryse would then become good friends with Deuce and Domino. Deuce and Domino then dumped Cherry for Maryse. We got to see Maryse in some ring action on the May 16, 2008 edition of Smackdown as she battled Cherry in a losing effort. Maryse would then week after week team up with Natalya and Victoria and battle Michelle McCool, Cherry and Kelly Kelly.

On September 7, 2008 at Unforgiven Maryse would get her first title shot as she went up against Michelle McCool for the Divas championship. She was unsuccessful in her attempt though as McCool retained her title.

On November 23, 2008 at Survivor Series Maryse would be part of the Smackdown Diva team that would battle the Raw Diva team. Maryse teamed up with Victoria, Natalya, Maria and Michelle McCool. Maryse and McCool had a hard time getting along during the match and even ended up in a shoving match with each other. Some of the Raw Divas had a hard time getting along too but in the end were able to beat the Smackdown Divas.

On the December 26, 2008 edition of Smackdown, Maryse battled Michelle McCool for the Divas championship with Maria as the special guest referee. Maryse was able to get the pin on McCool and became the new Divas champion.

On December 28, 2008 at a house show in Raleigh, North Carolina, Maryse dislocated her knee in a tag team match against The Bella Twins, when one of the twins initiated a dropkick that landed on her kneecap, it was later announced that the injury was not too serious and that she would be able to return in a few weeks. On the January 23, 2009 episode of SmackDown, Maryse returned in a non-wrestling role and sat at ringside commentating, during a Divas' tag team match. Maryse returned to wrestling on February 20, 2009 in a tag team match with Michelle McCool and defeating Maria and Eve Torres.

Maryse will compete in the Divas Battle Royal on April 5, 2009 at Wrestlemania 25!
